#13feetofftheground artist, @carolmcquaidart has been interviewing artists from around the world for her #podcast @2artistspodcast. Her most recent guest is none other than #13fotg momma @joannehastie ! Please check out the interview and you'll hear more about Joanne's art practice, what it was like being 40ft in the air on scaffolding and Joanne's new project, @paintingvariables, where she developed a robot arm that paints in her style!

For the first time since their return from #Sicily, #13feetofftheground will be presenting a group show! Art will be showcased at @luppolo_brewing with opening reception on May 2nd 7-9pm with artists in attendance. Show will be up through June 30th and will also have images of each artist's murals from the residency in @granitimurales. We are all super excited! Hope to see you there!
Could this be the first time all #13feetofftheground members are together under one roof since our trip?! So excited to see everyone together again! 🎊🎉 Here we are during our latest meeting discussing all the exciting events we will be doing over the next few months or so. Its going to be a busy Spring/Summer. First up, our @luppolo_brewing Group Exhibition from May 1st to June 30th, with opening show May 2nd at 7pm. Show will be up from May 1st till June 30th. Each artist will have 1-2 new pieces of work based on their experience during the trip plus information about the residency and images of all the murals/installations. Artists in attendance. Remembering Sicily. Here is artist and momma of #13feetofftheground, @joannehastie standing by both of her murals located in #Graniti. That first image is so high up, it took 3 stories of scaffholding to get to the top, plus a ladder... It was ontop of another building! So Joanne is actually standing on a roof here! The second image is of her first mural in Graniti painted about 3 years ago. If it wasn't for Joanne, #13FOTG would not exist. Thanks again, Joanne! Looking forward to more adventures and art projects with you!
Remembering one of our favourite places to visit during our #residency in #Graniti. The ancient Greek Theatre in #Taormina with Mount #Etna smoking steadily in the background. We saw so many breathtaking places during our trip, it feels so good to revisit the memories.

Our very own @carolmcquaidart has just started a new #podcast project called Two Artists Walk Into A Bar featuring a different artist each #episode being interviewed by Carol, herself... in a bar, of course! Here she is with singer-songwriter, @melanie.dekker and if you scroll over, with abstract figurative artist, @frankarnoldart. What are the chances of two #13feetofftheground members bumping into each other at Vancouver's Wine Festival last weekend? Pretty good, I'd say. Here is @jennbrissonart and @tannishopkins near the end of the night with their empty wine glasses (notice the size of Tannis' glass). Funny, they saw each other in Italy's section, too.
It was so great to see everyone at the "meeting/get-together" tonight! We were all there except for one(we missed you, @elleryart)! We had soooo much to talk about and let's just say #13feetofftheground will be super busy until Fall! So many exciting things coming up, we can't wait to share it with everyone! Remembering that time we first arrived in #Sicily. Three friendly faces came to meet us at the train station to drive the 6 new arrivals and all our luggage to Graniti! They only brought 2 small cars! We were pretty positive they would have to make more than one trip... But some how, all 9 of us, plus luggage, managed to squeeze in both cars! It was the magic of Sicily. 😉 Here's @billaultmorgane and @carolmcquaidart in the back seat of one of the vehicles... Carol trying to get her first glimpse of Mount Etna...
